Position & Title:                               Lead/Head Mechanic

 

Hours & Days:                      Monday – Friday / 40 Hours and 12 Months

 

Salary:                                  $25.26 - $27.51 depending on experience.  This position includes all benefits Medical, dental, Life, Disability, Retirement.  Also paid holidays and 24 days of leave each year. 

 

Job Description:              Maintains school busses, equipment, and other vehicles.  Assigns work orders to Mechanics.  Keep Inventory of parts, tools, and equipment.

• Prioritizes and assigns work orders for repairs on school buses, equipment, and other vehicles
• Maintains parts inventory; orders supplies and equipment, when necessary.
• Produces repair orders and turns into supervisor.
• Makes repairs on buses, equipment, and other vehicles and performs safety checks.
• Other duties as so assigned.

 

Qualifications:                  

• High School Diploma or GED
• Commercial Driver's License with AZDPS School Bus Certification
• Five years' experience as a mechanic, including gas and diesel engine repair
• Knowledge of personal computer software applications.
